Inspiration is taken from the sun setting over the sea, and the West Scotland coastline.

My inspiration for these comes from sunsets over the West of Scotland coast line. The clay is rolled out into flat slabs and torn by hand to create the feeling of a rugged rock or cave, they are then joined together to create a free standing 3 dimensional piece seascape. They are glazed with a high gloss to give a glassy effect like the surface of the sea at sunset, or carved and scored to give the effect of an angry sea.
